2/18/2014 First fair of 2014 in Southend-on-Sea Our first fair of 2014 is a bit less than two weeks away now! It will be the Southend Vintage and Retro Fair organised by Haddon Events, and will be taking place at The Chase Sports and Fitness Centre in Prittlewell Chase. Matt ArtPix and Arcane Publishing will be sharing a double stall, and we will have a few copies of I Am a Muse for sale at the event. For this fair, we will be concentrating on classic cinema and icons, as well as fashion. For our next event in Bexleyheath in London on March 9th, we will bring some rarer books on a wider range of subjects - but always concentrating mainly on music, entertainment, theatre and cinema. We will post a specific blog about this event next week, but I can already tell you that Arcane Publishing will have its own stall, and therefore will be able to spread out the books a little and be more creative with the display. It will be a trial run for some more Arcane Publishing stalls in the future! Matt ArtPix and Arcane Publishing hope to start trading at Old Spitalfields Market soon - we need to sort out the logistics first! Arcane Publishing's ambition is to launch a small pop-up bookshop one day (probably next year!)... Watch this space! This will first be an experiment over a few months, but it will become a regular feature on her website if it all goes well! Read more about it HERE. In the meantime, draft 2 of The Book of Thoth is going well, and we are getting ready for our first markets of 2014 where some of our fab second-hand books will be available to purchase - as well as copies of I Am a Muse! We are also thinking hard about how to set up an online shop for our published novels and second-hand books! If we decide to have a go, it probably won't be before late 2014/early 2015, as we really would like to stick to our publication date for The Book of Thoth and there is a lot to be done! |
