5/31/2016 Arcane Publishing update...Arcane Publishing has been very quiet of late, and we are sorry to announce that this will be the case for a while. Miss Gish hasn't posted any cultural or music-related blog of late as the Arcane team saves money and budgets for the future. We are sorry to say that Miss Gish still hasn't resumed work on The Right Place, but she is currently getting inspiration from the fantastic Landmarks by Robert Macfarlane. We still haven't found our new HQ in the South West. Who would have thought that finding a suitable house in a suitable location would be so difficult? We need a lot of space in order to take Arcane Publishing and Matt ArtPix to the next level up, and this is not exactly very easy with our small budget. We will keep you updated on our progress, but we probably won't be moving before the end of 2016... In the meantime, if you happen to be in Dorset, do visit our unit on the second floor of The Customs House in West Bay! The Customs House is right behind the beach by the big beach car park! We have replenished our shelves with yet more fantastic, carefully hand-picked second-hand books, and of course, you can still find copies of our first publications I Am a Muse and The Book of Thoth alongside great books from fellow indie publisher Ignite Books. Arcane designer Matt ArtPix's section of the unit is very successful, especially his Retro Football items, colourful handmade cards and intriguing antique and vintage finds... Matt ArtPix blogs regularly, so go and have a look at his latest posts:
His new stock for the unit is looking good! Read all about it HERE. Matt is also a collector. Here's a lovely new stash of glamorous French cinema magazines he has found at the superb Alexandra Palace Antiques and collectors fair earlier this month! Read all about it HERE. Matt's Retro Football Range is really successful in West Bay. He is planning on producing some new items to replenish his stock soon. Have a look at his latest Retro Footie blog HERE. And finally, today is the commemoration of the Battle of Jutland, and Matt has picked two items from his personal collection which are related to this event. Discover what they are HERE. And last but not least, do visit our twitter page @Arcanepub as we are there regularly! 5/4/2016 Back soon...It has been quiet here lately.
As our move to Dorset has been cancelled, we are looking at our options. Normal service will resume soon! |
