There has been a massive burst of activity at the Arcane/ArtPix towers as we prepare for the lockdown to ease and for our unit at The Customs House to reopen on 12th April. There is also a possibility of a few dates making their appearance in our events calendar... Nothing is sure yet, but we will of course update you on here when/if things are confirmed. One May evening during the first lockdown, we had a massive leak in our office cupboard and some of the water damaged a few copies of our second published novel, The Book of Thoth.  The Spirit of Portland... Complete with knitted scarves! At Arcane/ArtPix towers, we are a bit fed up with all the lockdowns, restrictions, etc. We have scrupulously followed the rules and haven't been out of Weymouth/Portland since late December, when we have the whole of the glorious county of Dorset on our doorstep! But there have been some days when our resolve has been seriously tested...
The past twelve months seem to have been such a dreadful waste... We have struggled to be creative and to find inspiration and motivation... 2020 was supposed to be such an exciting year: we were to complete the first draft of our third published novel The Right Place and to start the publishing process, and we also had loads of wonderful events booked in Bristol and in some other exciting locations. All these have been scrapped and we've basically brought our business to a halt. But we've decided that there was no way we were going to waste yet another year! So we are slowly starting to make plans again for events, we are about to start work on the future Arcane online shop and we hope to make some good progress on the manuscript and publishing schedule of The Right Place. We will soon be offering some discounted copies of our first published novels, I Am a Muse and The Book of Thoth... Also, our unit at The Customs House in West Bay will reopen on 12th April...
