12/17/2014 Merry Christmas! Arcane Publishing's online presence will be minimal over the next couple of weeks. We will be mainly plotting 2015 and walking around the Essex countryside. 2014 has been an interesting year for us, but 2015 promises to be a very busy one as we work on spreading the word about Arcane Publishing, Miss Gish and our books! We also hope to expand the "business" side of the imprint (publishing and second-hand/vintage books), with a more regular presence in London. We have a lot of ideas and a very, very tight budget; we remain optimistic and as determined as ever. Publishing is not a fast industry! Work has started on our third publication, The Right Place, with most of the planning done; writing will start in January, but you can already read the opening pages HERE. We are really excited about this new story! Also, don't forget that The Book of Thoth will be officially published on 31st January. Stand by for some news about events and hopefully some exciting collaborations in 2015! In the meantime, do check Miss Gish's blog, a few posts coming over the next few days! Normal service will resume 2nd January and we hope to be back in London at Old Spitalfields market as early as 3rd January!  12/13/2014 Today: book signing and reading!Last events of 2014 for Miss Gish and Arcane Publishing!  The Bookshop Experience, 307 London Road, SS0 8BX, Westcliff-on-Sea. Book signing (we will have copies of I Am a Muse and The Book of Thoth for sale in the shop! Miss Gish will be there with her red pen.) 5pm-5.45pm 
The the Arcane team will be moving on to nearby WOA Gallery in Westcliff-on-Sea (Hamlet Court Road).
This is a poetry evening, so Miss Gish will start with the short poet that opens the book and then move on to an extract in which Alda talks about what it was like to be her husband's muse for so long. The gallery is less than 10 mn walk from The Bookshop Experience. The readings will take place between 6pm and 8pm. 12/5/2014 New quote in for The Book of Thoth!The Book Of Thoth by Carya Gish is stylish and moody, chilling and seductive. This comes from musician and author Mr Johnny Navarro from Devilish Presley and Crowstone no less! His own novel, Kill Devil Delta, will be out in May 2015.
12/2/2014 Amazon? So apparently those two sellers on the Amazon website have one copy of I Am a Muse each, and are selling them for £49.99. They are also listed as being in French language when of course they aren't!
Tell you what: I really doubt those people actually have the books, as we have sold something like 10. We know exactly where they are. And to be honest, they are paperback copies of an independently published novel by an indie publisher and author.
