12/23/2021 We're back! (for a few weeks...)We're back, albeit for a brief period only...
Before we come back for good later in 2022! The past four months have been very challenging, but we have managed to make it to the end of our fundraising effort... BUT we're going to extend this effort to Easter, with a few weeks' break in between starting now. So expect some activity on here and on our various websites over the next few weeks as we catch up with things! Then we'll have to go offline again for three months until we come back for good in early April 2022; after that, we'll be working flat out on our projects! The online bookshop and publication of our third novel are still happening in 2022 and 2023 respectively, but it's just all going at a slower pace... Watch this space for more pre-loved books news and progress reports about The Right Place! The Book of Thoth is the perfect Halloween's book! It has ghosts, curses, alchemists, haunted manor houses, Egyptian gods and princesses, flappers and more! Contact us on our social media if you'd like a copy! We are still working hard to raise the funds for Arcane Publishing's future projects, and we will still be mostly offline until December 18th.
After that, Miss Gish will be free to go back to her third novel (The Right Place) and we will start planning the Arcane Publishing online bookshop. See you in a few weeks' time! Arcane Publishing will be winding down its activity now as we prepare for four months of hibernation as we raise funds for all our 2022/2023 projects, including the launch of our online bookshop and the publication of our third novel The Right Place.
We hope to be able to post a picture or two once a week (or more realistically fortnightly) if we manage to find time to get out in nature... We hope to be back fully from 20th December 2021. Matt ArtPix will be very active though throughout the autumn and has some exciting events in the calendar, so keep an eye on his Facebook page! We were back in Langport on Saturday for the Langport Vintage Market, still in The Undercroft, next to the gorgrous shop Kim Woods Vintage!
We really put on a show with a great stock of books, vintage items. This time, Matt ArtPix was also showing his collage art, which he makes using his own photos and vintage images taken from his personal collection of vintage magazines and books... A brilliant addition to the stall! Matt has been making these artworks for many years now, and these artworks are part of the latest series all made in Dorset! This was the last market of 2021 for Arcane Publishing, as we prepare to spend four months raising funds for the development of the Arcane online bookshop and the printing costs of The Right Place, which we hope to publish in September 2023. Matt ArtPix will keep trading at markets if the weather and the Covid crisis allow... We will keep posting on here and on our Instagram, Facebook and Twitter accounts hopefully once a week to keep things going until we are fully back in business! This Saturday, we will be back with MattArtPix at the Langport Vintage Market.
This will probably be the last market of the year for Arcane, but Matt will carry on throughout the Autumn and Winter (weather and Covid permitting...) We will have a completely different stock this time: a few big coffee table books about Liberty design, William Morris, Lalique, Barbara Hepworth and more... We will also have a box full of treasures: French antique books, Film magazines and Edwardian-era illustrated stories, vintage adventure magazines, a few lovely children's books and loads of small vintage booklets about travelling, holidays, gardening, cooking...
