DIY promo for I Am a Muse

So here at Arcane publishing, we have been thinking, planning, plotting and getting our little hands dirty - literally. 

We will be working on the promo material for I Am a Muse over the forthcoming weeks; so far on our list, we have:

business cards - these have been designed and ordered! 

some handmade flyers - greetings cards format with the synopsis and snippets of the book inside. 

press/promo release - the final draft has been approved and will be sent out tomorrow with a few books... We might be able to get some reviews/quotes in over the next months or so!

bookmarks - we've designed it, now we need to find a printer!

address labels and stickers - if we have to send the book to our customers, we will make sure the packaging is engaging! 

I Am a Muse promo booklet - this for events/literary festival(s); we would like to offer a few extras to go with the book, maybe a few extracts together with some artworks, photos, objects, collages, etc. that would provide an extra visual dimension to the story. We already have quite a few ideas... 

And we are looking for independent (book)shops that could stock the book... This will take time, but we will get there! 

Please keep an eye on the Purchasing our books page. We hope to start adding events/bookshops on there as soon as things get confirmed, and we will keep adding stockists on in the forthcoming months. 

Getting ready to get started on the handmade flyers...

I bought some posh felt tips from an art shop only to realise that my good old cheap acrylic paint tubes were much much better! Yes, these definitely look handmade but that's the whole point!
