Stall pictures and new stock in!

Last weekend was a very busy one for Matt ArtPix and Arcane Publishing...
We had two extremely early starts on both days!

On the Saturday, we were at The Exeter Matford Centre Antiques and Collectors fair. 

On Sunday, we were back at The Bridport Vintage Market. Happy to say we sold the lovely "Le Grand Oracle Celtique" Tarot card game from Brittany (read the blog about it HERE). 

In addition to the lovely Vivienne Westwood V&A retrospective book which appears in the pictures above, we have just acquired yet more stock for our forthcoming markets and fairs (we do think they would make ideal gifts for a *cough* certain event later this year...
Let's have a look-see:
This is a wonderful book for any fans of the ever popular Audrey Hepburn. This volume is packed full of gorgeous pictures (colour and as well as black and white), full page movie posters, adverts, promotion pictures, the lot! 
​One of the best books about this iconic actress... 

Do you love your grunge? The 90s have been big over the past few years, and they are now officially "vintage" (!). 
The biggest band of the grunge movement was Nirvana, and in this modest but comprehensive 1996 volume, you will find everything you need to know about the band's influences, their short-lived but influential career and their legacy. 

Do you like record sleeve design? Staying with mainstream music, we're going further back in time with this bonkers (and often hilarious) "Book of record jackets": Album Cover Album - this is its 6th edition, 1985.
There are quite a few pages I cannot show you on here just in case it offends someone (and Facebook would probably ban them!) so here are a few safe ones... 

And finally... The British band you just cannot avoid, The Beatles! More precisely: The Beatles Illustrated Lyrics!
If you are a fan of "The Fab Four" as they are still known as, you are in for a treat: this 1998 copy of a book published in 1969 (how I'd love to get my hands on this first edition!) in mint condition! It has the lyrics of all the songs you love and is very richly illustrated in the best psychedelic style(s).
